Bereavement fingerprints jewlery and keepsakes
Its a sacred place to create an impression keepake of ones last touch. I love creating tangible impression pieces of those who have created the greatest imprint on your heart. Here are some common questions I get in terms of bereavement jewelry.
When is it best to get the impression? In terms of end of life, I would get the impression right away. You can choose express shipping but note that there is no shipping on Sundays, so if you order saturday night it might not make it till Monday. If you are local to Atlanta you can contact me for local pick up.
What if the person is at the funeral home? I can send a kit to the funeral home. You can still get a fingerprint impression post death.
What if all I have is a paper copy of the print? I get this question all the time. Unfortunately with my casting process I have to have a direct impression in clay to mold and cast the impression into a prints of love keepsake. There are companies that will laser cut the fingerprint impression into metal, I just don't have those capabilities. The advantage of my process is that it is more personal because its your loved ones direct touch. The disadvantage is they have to be here on earth to get the impression.
What if there is no time to order a kit? Call or text me and I can go over how to make a make-shift kit. 214-934-0454 Polymer clay is the best clay for the impressions (specifically super sculpy). Take at least 3 impressions. Use wax or parchment paper between the clay because the clay does melt into plastic. Ship back in a secured container. Include your information.
I do offer kits for free in this situation. Use promo code FREEKIT for the kit to be free. Shipping rates do apply.
What should I order? I think the single charm is a good kit to order. If you want a bar of multiple people or a heart with 2 different prints, it is a direct impression and requires all the people present. It's easier to have it made now and decide later the details.
If I want to order multiple of the same charm necklace do I need multiple kits? No, Once I make the mold I can make multiples of the exact same design. You also can choose different finishes for each. If you want a bar with all the kids, its best to get the bar kit. I can make impressions of an impression but if you are changing designs its best to get the kit associated with that design. Certain shapes can be made into to others like a charm necklace can be make into cufflinks or a keychain or earrings but a heart can not be made into a bar necklace.
What if I don't know my whole order up front? Thats totally okay. Just get the impression. When you send it back, contact me and we can discuss order and finish options, text on the back or front and all the other details.
Can I order more later? You can I keep the molds for as long as I am in business.
What if I have more questions? Just contact me... email or text me.
